Due to strong requirement from customer, Oracle today introduced the Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud Customer, and it is the industry’s first fully managed cloud region to provide all of Oracle’s second generation cloud services, including the standalone database and Oracle Cloud for customer data centers from just 500,000 US dollars a month.
With this offering, businesses get exactly the same complete industry-leading modern cloud services, APIs, SLAs, superior value for money, and the highest level of security available in Oracle’s public cloud regions. This is ideal for highly regulated or security-oriented companies that have to meet demanding requirements regarding length of stay and data latency, reduce operating costs and modernize older applications.
In recent years, adoption by public cloud companies has become commonplace, with companies taking advantage of the economic benefits, scale, and flexibility of cloud computing. However, most companies plan to continue running some of their data center workloads on-site for the foreseeable future. This has led to strong customer demand for a hybrid architecture where the same services, functionality, and ease of application portability exist between their local and public cloud environments. So far, however, no solution has been able to close the gap between cloud and on-premises environments. On-site offerings from other cloud providers give you a really small portion of the services available in their open public cloud regions. With today’s announcement, Oracle is delivering all of its cloud services, more than 50 services, on-site so that businesses can use Oracle’s cloud services where they are needed, in the cloud or on-premises through the client in the Cloud.
