We are using srvctl utility to perform configuration on cluster environment for storing configuration data in the server management configuration repository. SRVCTL uses SQL*Plus to perform stop and start activities on each node. Server Management configuration repository stores all components like SRVCTL,GSD (Global Services Daemon), Enterprise Manager’s Intelligent agent etc.

2 types of operations can perform using SRVCTL command utility of Oracle RAC.

    1. Cluster Database tasks
    2. Cluster Database Configuration tasks.
