In our Oracle DBA RAC section, you can also find out some good tips and tricks to managing Oracle RAC Database administration remotely using only commands, not GUI.

Managing Oracle RAC databases remotely is a very tough task because when we are seeing and fetching books or article on the web got only DBA task using GUI tools. Means Oracle’s books also show how to manage Oracle RAC database using DBCA, OEM or Enterprise Manager Grid control only. Those books are not showing how to manage the Oracle RAC database using the command line. Because during the remote session command line is more powerful rather than GUI tools.

In short, we can say that, there are very few resources are available to learn the command line to maintain DBA related tasks for Oracle RAC DBA.

Kindly watch out our new section called Oracle RAC DBA. And kindly check daily for a new articles in the same section.

    1. Maybe this is forgotten for first topic:
ASMfs would be introduced with ASM 11.2 and would expose the ASM as a normal file system. This is fact OCFS inside ASM and use it like OCFS!

    2. How about 11g ASM ..Concept…that completely changes the whole idea of ASM the way we use to deal with it…
